I wanted to cover a question that I get commonly, which is…
How do you go about choosing a chiropractor once you feel like you need one?
The question you need to ask yourself is, what are you looking for?
Here at Atlas Brain and Spine, it’s really important to us that we don’t waste your time and your money.
The first thing that we do is a consultation at no cost to you — its a conversation, not a commitment, to see if we feel like we can help you.
Secondly, you have to decide — are you looking for something that will bring you quicker but short term relief?
Or are you looking for something that brings a longer term solution like a lot of our patients here that we have in our Hall of Fame that have been able to go months, if not even maybe years, without any need for any kind of a correction or chiropractic adjustment.
The reason we’re able to get those results is all about precision.
With your examination, we use some instruments like this machine called an anatometer that measures precisely your body position upright against gravity, and measures the structural shift that’s present and how that is affecting your nervous system.
Additionally, we will also do precise measurements of the head and the neck itself to identify the exact misalignment that you have.
There’s three different pictures here, because we take X-rays in all three dimensions to see precisely how this is out of alignment.
The key to the correction and restoring your alignment for a long term solution is to figure this out.
It’s so important that we know how to go about correcting this, because each person has had their own unique accidents and injuries and it needs to be addressed in an individualized way.
Last but not least, we don’t ask you to sign up for a lifetime of adjustments with our procedure and our protocol here — we look at typically doing about an eight week initial phase of care to make sure that this is the right place for you.
Of course, we don’t expect you to be 100% yield after eight weeks if you’ve had migraine headaches for years.
But within eight weeks, the majority of our patients are 90% or more are experiencing at least a 50% improvement or greater, and we know that we’re on the right track.
Once we have established that, then of course, we can get you better and take care of you as long as you need to get a full resolution and stability to your spine for a long term solution.
If you have any questions, please let us know.
Hopefully this answers some questions and give you a few things to think about when you’re choosing what chiropractor to go to.
